Alice Merton delivers a great song "Why So Serious" for us to enjoy in 2020 !!!  Check out the fun "official video" fun and quirky scenes.  I also dig the acoustic piano performance ;-)

Like many of her fans, I discovered Alice Merton from her "No Roots" song.   Some songs appear like a companion in our lives ~ in unexpected moments.   The zenith was a live band cover at a nightclub in the historic district of Orvieto, Italy.   An energetic, yet friendly crowd of youthful local folks were out past midnight on a Saturday night ~ i happened to have been amongst that evenings patrons and celebrants.   The band closed the evening with "No Roots" and everyone including the street crowd (which becomes part of the club) burst forth in a final thunderous dance and singing... rather surprised me - ha !!!   I rapidly fled (with some others) to the extra space (yet still crowded) street ~ barely avoiding the jostle of the most boisterous dancing of the evening !!! ;-)   

My feet concluded their dancing on the ancient stone streets, as I eased away... feet easing into a strolling rhythm returning to my lodging.  A great smile on my face, my belly full of artisan food and spirits, laughs, dancing, music, smiles and stories shared -- and a body ready to stop moving !  Slumber was re-vitalizing and the sound of cathedral bells on Dominica Sunday woke me from my slumber ~ priceless...    these songs kinda echo as our companions in life... curious how that works...   Cheers, Scotti.

So lately, I've really been enjoying the edge and playful fresh in Alice Merton's cadence of lyrical delivery, and just simply diggin' her music even more in 2020.
